We were headed south, just north of Knoxville on I75, when the oil pressure gauge got all "twitchy". I pulled off next exit and found a substancial oil leak on the passenger side of coach. Not. A good situation !  Grabbed the dipstick, nothing!  Dumped the 2 gallon reserve and it came up to the low mark. Had another gallon and got itto the full mark.
I remembered the choo choo garage, googled it and called. Don said come on down and he would take a look and se what he could do for us.

Stopped at auto pRts store and bought 5 gallons 15/40. Not my first choice, but any oil better than trashing a good engine. Nursed it to Chattanooga stopping 2 more times to refill oil. Used 6 more gallons!
Pulled up to door at choo choo and up it went, pulled right in over pit
Don and Joel introduced themselves, Joel began to size up the problem.  He crawled in pit and up on a ladder and had me start the engine briefly. The gasket on the air compressor had failed. Being after 4, Joel said wait till morning and he would pull the compressor and replace the gasket.
Don says stay in the bus for the night, so that's what we did.

Next morning Joel tears into it and a couple hours later, all was good. He went ahead and changed oil and filter, washed the oilly mess off the back, and we were on our way by noon Christmas Eve.

Just cannot say enough good things about Don and Joel. They went above and beyond my expectations!  My hats off to both of them!

That's what makes this hobby so rewarding.

I stopped at Choo Choo on my way back from Arcadia in Jan 2011 and asked Joel to look at a slow leak on my 50DN.  He pulled it in and had it fixed in about five minutes as the fitting was slightly loose.  He wouldn't take any payment.

Don & Joel are both very good guys ! I have been to Choo Choo many times and anytime I'm passing thru with time to spare (and either no passengers or not in bus) I stop in!
First thing Don always say's to me is "Long way from West TN ain't ya?"
