I remember going to the grocery store with my mom and she would fill up the back of our 57 Plymouth station wagon and it would only cost $27.  The other day i came out of the grocery store with 2 small bags and it was $94.

I was working at a Gas station and we only needed 40.00 in change to open in the morning. Gas was .49 cents a gallon and cigarets were .15 cents a pack. Gave maps away for free and sold Oil, fuses, tire changes and patching. Water and air was free. He made money off the back bays. I made 42.00 a week and could use the tools and lifts at work.
I will start SS this next month and finally be rich!.....Yesss

Started in a gas station when I was 14.....they paid me in hotdogs and soda...and let me go to the dirt track on Saturday.... said I was 16 and got into the pits...

Started in dad's gas station when I was about 5 using ink pad to stamp names on every page of the receipt books. I think I got paid 5 cents a book . Didn't pump gas till I was about 12 I think  regular was about $.29.

Clifford still sticking with my old Ranger..Gets 16 on the highway and really goes above 160... Working on making it out corner the 'vettes now.. my toy truck. LOL..gg
