How often to I service my generator?

It's amazing how long the little Kubota Diesels will last running at only 1,800rpm. I had a friend that had the 8kw 3 cylinder Powertech in his truck. With replacing the brush type alternator with a brushless alternator, he had over 23,000hrs on it without engine problems (I think one water pump). Good Luck, TomC

ok thanks guys. School me a little bit on oil... why would I need to use 15w40 if it calls for 10w30 & 10w40? Also, how do I know what oil filter to use? THANKS!

15w40 is todays go to diesel oil.  Go to Napa and give them the oil filter you have now and they will cross it.  Or, you can google "Kubota D1005 oil filter napa".
