Click and Clack

Not sure if this belongs in the section but Click and Clacks Tom Magliozzi passed away today. Those guys always make me laugh. Still enjoy the replays.

Thanks for posting this, Tom P. I had not heard. This is the first time in all these decades that Tom Magliozzi ever made me sad.

They were the ones that said when the "check engine light" comes on just put Black electrical tape over the light and it won't bug you anymore!......

Funny story about Click and Clack. We have always been a radio family. My daughter, now 29, grew up a radio junkie. She knew very major truck stop in the US at 10 years old from listening to the trucking Bozo on 700 WLW.

Click and Clack were some of her favorites. In 2007 we were preaching in Africa for the first time. We were exhausted but could not sleep because of the time change. We were laying as still as we could at 3:00 AM trying to sleep. We heard our daughter trying to smother a laugh. What are you doing? What are you laughing about at 3:00 AM? Her answer? Listening to a podcast of Click and Clack she had downloaded before leaving home.

So now our tradition is to listen to Click and Clack in the middle of the night every trip to Africa and laugh our heads off.

They are on at 10:00 eastern on Saturday mornings so no matter what I am doing on Saturday morning, I stop, go in the garage and listen to those two with their words of wisdom.

I will do whatever it takes when traveling to find an NPR station when it is time for Click and Clack.

I hope NPR keeps playing the reruns.
