Going to be driving my bus from Yakima, WA. To Tifton, GA. Starting tomorrow. The bus turns 2150 rpm at 65 mph
Will that be to much for 2700 miles or should I keep it around 1900 rpm or around 60 mph? It's a 6v92 Silver mechanical. Don't know year. Supposed to have about 50,000 on it. Thanks

 Around 1850 to 1900 is good; you start pounding against the governor  and  oil leaks start to show up. It's hard to run 60 though. You will also get better fuel mileage at the lower rpm. Some run flat out with few issues, some with many.

The min full load speed on the 6V92TA is 1800 to 1900 rpm not many pay any attention to it but that is what it is

The 6V92 in my 5C came from the PO with a 4:11 diff. ratio, so  I would spend entire days on the governor at 2150 rpm at 65 mph. No problems at all, except the fuel mileage wasn't good. I swapped the rear end for a 3:36, so now I turn 1800 rpm at 65 mph. Much nicer.
