Without inspection: alignment, shocks, tie rod ends, drag link, wheel balance, wheel bearings ....
some or all of the above.

2different things.

shimmy usually refers to problems with shocks, wheel balance or alignment which are (relatively) simple to fix.

wander usually means the alignment is way out of whack, the steering box is seriously worn, rubber bushings in steering/front suspension are trashed, wheel bearings are toast, drag link or other parts need replacing... etc.

if it's the steering box, you can there will usually be more than 3 inches of play in the steering wheel when the coach is at rest.

that's not a full list of all the problems I've encountered over the years.  You need to be prepared for an expensive education.

on the other hand, it might be as simple as a bent wheel rim or under-inflated tires.

I have a 77 4905A. I don't have any problems with it wandering. I had a drag link replaced.  I only have about 3 or 4 inches of play in mine. Could be any thing I guess. Good luck. If you don't get that one, I have one I want to sell. I'm in Florida

You can remove a lot of it by adjusting the CASTER to 2 to 3 degree's POSITIVE,, try it you will love it.>>>Dan

The rear suspension bushings (and shocks) are often overlooked and can contribute to handling problems.
