I have one in the rear bay of my 1985 model 10. I tied it into the passenger side air conditioning ducting so that I could run the stock a/c and or the generators a/c. When camped I run the a/c or heat from the generator or 240 v shore power.  :)

Those were for sale on Government Liquidators the 52 grand is what the US taxpayers paid, where do get the parts for a military generator if you need parts if find parts they are not cheap the guy is trying to make a few coins they went a lot cheaper than he is asking

I have no idea how well they work but a "unified" unit scares me.  If one section goes out, does that kill the functioning of the rest of the units?  I guess if it's really reliable it might work but I'm just leery.

While this sounds good on paper, I see multiple electronic boxes to run it. Military equipment is made to be operated by a non mechanically inclined 18yr old high school drop out. Hence, the gen has an on/off switch where everything else is operated by the on board computers. What do you do when one of those computers go out? Who were they made by? Who can service them?
On the other hand, if you're mechanically/electronic inclined, I would cannibalize the unit down to it's basic components. Then rebuild it up using common RV based, readily available equipment from say Onan, Kohler, Coleman, Duotherm, etc. Then you'll be able to service the unit when it breaks out there on the road. Nothing better then to have something fail and just simply able to fix it with something from Home Depot or Camping World. Good Luck, TomC

yes the unit is mine. I took a chance and bought one for my bus over a year ago. They're rare, there was no info out except what was on the manufacturers site. I called Fischer Panda's US Dealer, it's a German unit, they said that they didn't know that any of them had been decommissioned. I was so impressed with mine that when the next one came available over a year latter, I bought it, knowing its value. Not very many of them have been made though, Fischer Panda shows them on their site for $52K. Fischer Panda mainly sells very expensive, high end generators for yachts and luxury motor homes. It has a Kohler turbo Diesel engine. It's very ruggedly built, from normal components. The one part that is defiantly made by Fischer Panda is the control panel. I checked the price on it, just in case it was bad, before I bought mine and it was about $500 and still available. I liked the fact that it doesn't have a battery or fuel tank, it was made to use the vehicles. It has a breaker for the power out and breakers for the power in for the a/c and heat. There is a thermostat for the heat and a/c which could be moved inside by a pro. I think Fischer also makes a wired remote control that I saw in their literature. I plan to remote mine myself, I'm cheap and capable. for the right person like me it's more then perfect.

Fischer Panda fully supports it. They sent me free PDF files of everything from the operator manual to wiring diagram, trouble shooting, & exploded view parts manual. There phone support has been good even for stupid questions.
