on aug 24th he said this on busgreasemonkey.com when dave asked him for an update

"Not yet Dave but we are getting closer! On Friday they put it on the Dyno and ran it to check everything and break it in. Then they took it off and were going to recheck it for leaks, get it cleaned up and painted. They also moved the bus back inside the shop so that they can start putting the engine back in. We will still have to road test it and recheck that everything is working like it should be.....hope to be on our way by the end of the week."

Nope, still here in Billings Clifford.   :)   The engine is back in but there are still a few things to hook up before the test drive. Since Monday is a holiday it will be Wednesday, if they don't run into any more problems with things fitting right, before i can test drive it.  Hopefully back on the road by Thursday or Friday at the latest,.....although that is what i said last week too! ;D

One week out of the 7, Larry was on vacation so nothing was done on it which was fine by me. I don't want somebody working on it that doesn't know what he is doing.....and that includes me!!!! ;D

These guys have been very meticulous about this. Even though i had a spare set of  filters they wanted to use DD filters so that if any thing goes wrong there is no questioning on the warrenty. My air filters don't have that many miles on them but we put on new ones for the same reason. All new hoses and fittings, etc, they aren't taking any chances on old stuff failing. I would rather spend a few bucks on stuff like that instead of trying to save a few bucks and have it end up costing me thousands more down the road.

They probably have at one time or another.  They do a lot of business here, everyday there are new rigs of all types showing up or leaving.....Semis, fire trucks, UPS trucks, oil field rigs, buses, you name it.

Not yet Clifford, just got back from the shop. Helped him put antifreeze in and found a few small leaks and bled the system.....first leak was a drain valve that was still open. ;D  Hooked up throttle and shift linkage and adjusted it. Did a lot of little things that needed to be done too. Still gotta change the tranny filter and fill it and the power steering system and hook up a few more small things. Should be running it on Monday and checking for any leaks and making sure everything is working like it should. Then if all is well, taking it for a test drive either then or on Tuesday.......we are getting close!

I knew that a couple of the guys at the shop would be working for a few hours this morning and since i had left my reading glasses in the bus yesterday we ran up there to get them and a few other things we wanted. Larry was there and the first thing he said to me was we have a problem......turns out that overnite we developed a small leak in the upper corner of one of the radiators. Can't quite see exactly where and what it is but it is leaking even though the system hasn't been under pressure yet. :(  We drained out a lot of antifreeze and on Monday will yard that radiator out and take it to a shop for repair. I think that it is just one tube leaking at the top so hopefully it will be a quick and easy, (read, cheap) repair. Have never had a leak in the 11 years that we have had the bus and the radiators look to be in pretty good shape.....ironically i have a set of radiators in storage in Yuma that i bought from Sam Caylor last fall.  Two steps forward, one step back.   ;D

Left Billings a little before 3 yesterday afternoon. ;D  Got to Helena last nite around 7. Bus is running fine, seems like it has a little more power, went up a few hills in 4th or 3rd  when i think that we would have been in 3rd or 2nd before.
