One of my cruise air units gets cold then cycles, getting warm then back to cold, is this a sign it could be low on refrigerate ? Also on starting back out of the cycle it pulls a lot of amps for about 4 to 5 seconds. Any ideas?

Have you checked its air filter?

Those units are sensitive to build up on the condenser they need to be washed and cleaned every year it's the high pressure switch kicking it off and I doubt you find a filter in the system

good luck

Here is the link to the air filters used on these units. Perhaps you can tell us your model number.

Steve those are inline freon filters he needs a tech to change those,I never had air filters on my Cruiseair and they worked for 20 years IMO the best unit on the market if installed right

Thanks for that info Clifford, my front unit I did check and it was clean, it works great, ice cold. The rear one is the problem. Is it okay to spray down with dawn soap then use pressure washer or best to stick with garden hose? Thanks

We called the Cruise Air people when ours had a problem.  They are more than happy to trouble shoot it with you. They are really helpful. We had an internal switch that had to be replaced and start condenser to replace. They even walked us through charging the freon to the right level.
