It looks like Dr. Steve has given you good info on i-Stuff (wouldn't know any of that from a light switch) but the software that we use here is pretty cluncky.  I got a free PhotoBucket page years ago and I move photos to that.  It's easy to link to photos from all the other forum or discussion software but this one is hard.

"TexasBorderDude" has written a program that helps.  You can check with him; I have his program but I'm not sure that it's right for me to post a link to it without permission, and I'm not sure that it works on toy comput ... Ummm, I mean, i-Stuff.

My take on it (with Windows software) is that it can be done but it's clunky and tricky -- everything has to be done *exactly* right (there are limits on photo size etc. that the forum software help doesn't tell you that) but once you get it set up it's OK.

Sorry, I don't feel that I've helped you much but that's just the way it is.

I'm not sure why all forums seem to have clunky interfaces, it's a market due for some innovation. It has nothing to do with the iPad and everything to do with the forum pic upload mechanism itself.

Like Bruce said, your best bet is to give up trying to do it here, upload them somewhere else (Flickr, Google Picasa, Photobucket, etc) and just link to it here so everyone can click on it and see.

Besides, if it's anything where people want to see details, 512 is way too small anyway.
