One of our large local RV dealer's has been having an "RV SHOW!!" in the parking lot of Fresno State's arena this weekend.

So I decided to mosey on over for a look-see after getting my truck cleaned up at the car wash a couple blocks away this morning.

Bunch of toy-haulers, regular pull trailers, two/three pop-up tent trailers, several Class Cs, some very interesting Class Bs, and a bunch of Class As of different lengths and powertrains.  Basically, the usual mix.

Only one diesel pusher, a 40-foot Allegra Phantom, built by Tiffin Industries.  Four slides gave it lots of room inside when parked, but you could tell that it would be tedious to manoeuver inside when the slides were closed.

Two interesting items, one layout, one that ticked off the salesman big time.

The first was that the floorplan had a rear bath facility.  With a small step up over the engine compartment, the designers utilized that space for a stacked washer/dryer plus a curved sink/cabinetry streetside, a curved shower & commode curbside, and a rather large hanging closet across the back wall.  Interesting departure from the usual entry, lounge, galley, bath, bedroom layout.

What ticked off the salesman was when I asked him how many miles were on this used unit.  He immediately told me it was brand new, a 2014.  I said the key's in the ignition, please turn it on and show me that it's new based on the odometer reading.  He reluctantly did, and it showed about 150 miles on the odo, completely acceptable, since the factory's in AL.  But he about blew a gasket when I then told him that his dealership has a awful lot of gall to be selling a vehicle as brand new when the federally-required manufacturing date sticker on the entry door indicated that the vehicle was built in September of 1996 - that's right, 18 years ago!  He said "Do you want to buy this?"  I said "No, not under these circumstances," to which he replied angrily "Then get the f**k out of here!"  I grinned at him and laughed. . .
