I have run into a problem with the Duotherm Penquin AC units I have installed on my bus conversion which is still a work in progress.  My thermostat is reading an EE code.  I have looked in the manual for the unit and there isn't anything regarding troubleshooting the unit or about error codes on thermostats and what may be causing the code display.

Any thoughts on this matter?

Thanks
Jim

I can't directly help you, but I did google "Duo Therm AC ee code and got a lot of hits.  Maybe one of those will deal with your exact situation.

Hi Jim,

EE means either you have a bad comfort controller or, the patch cords are made backwards...

I would lean twards the patch cords. Patch/phone style RJ6 cords can not be used premade

from the store. One end needs to be reversed. Follow instructions on the Comfort control ctr.

Good Luck

If you have to reverse one end of the CCC phone cords, go to Radio Shack and get the telephone cable end tool. It strips and clamps the ends-makes the job easy. I did it for mine and worked great. Good Luck, TomC
