Hi all well I bought my bus it is a MCI MC-8 1975 has not run in a long time.
PO disconnected all the fuel lines and air cleaner and it needs a lot of tlc and I mean lots. It is in Quartzsite Az.
I have a friend that lives there he has got a lot of the work done on it I am going down tomorrow  to try to get it started and ready to bring home. I need to get windshield seals for it and some other stuff. Need to get tires so found used 12r 22.5 for 200.oo each then 20.00 to install and 10.00 for disposal of the old tires does that sound right they are toyos I think. Well wish me luck.

We run toyos on our semi's, over the last decade can't really complain. Make sure they aren't too old to be safe. Good luck on your project.

Hope you got a great deal on it. You're putting over $1800 just into used tires for it.

I can't see spending a lot of time and money on a bus you haven't even heard run! How do you know it will even start, let alone air up and drive safely
if the fuel lines and air cleaner have been disconnected for years? I think for that bus to be attractive, it would have to be nearly free!

I'll be selling an 82 MC9 for a friend this sumnmer with nearly new tires (over $3000), only 140K on the engine and over $20K in conversion parts included,
all for $20K. Someone's going to get a great deal on it.

I know of a two-slide '89 Prevost in "under construction project" status that will go for even less.

Well my bus is home went down yesterday and but the fuel line back on new batteries no new tires came home on the ones that were on it lost one just outside of Needles but the spare on and came on it.

This bus was setting at Rainbow Acres has a very smooth running 6V92 in it been sitting about 4 or 5 years but when she started there was no smoke of any kind. She run like a top all the way. it does have some problems but for what I paid for it. It will  allrirght
If I sold it for scrap I would make money on it.

P.S will post picture when I get the chance.

Glad you made it safely!!!! Look me up if you need any parts. I have some listed on the parts page and the wife sure would like them gone. Do you have a parts/maintenance manual? I have a set for sale!  Wish you the best of luck as you begin your journey!
