The generator fuel tank has black algae in it.
Is there a way to get rid of this without pulling the tank and pressure washing it.

It has a bottom drain.  Years ago I flushed mine out with hot soapy water.  Just fill and let drain a few times.
If the bus is running, fill it about half way with water and dish soap and drive around a bit before draining.

You could get the fuel polished .

Fuel polishing is having the fuel run through a series of filters that will remove any gunk, dirt, water, and even the algae. There are services that will come on site to do this. It might just be cost effective to drain the tank and refill with fresh with fuel treatment added. Good Luck, TomC

Thank you Scott Simpson & TomC
The big thing here is to try and avoid pulling the tank.
I did that with the main tank and replaced all the fuel lines.

TomC what stuff should I add to the tank and will that get rid of the alge or is that just precautionary type thing once the alge is gone

The stuff that kills the algae is bio bore. You can build your own fuel polisher. All you need is a electric fuel pump and a fuel filter and some hose. Pump the fuel out of the tank through the filter and back in to the tank . Let it run for a few days . Untill the fuel is clean. Depending on how dirty the fuel is you may have to change the filtr a few times.
