I received my stuff from US Coach (thanks Luke) so today I will

1. replace burnt out marker bulbs
2. replace broken marker bulb cover
3. install new reverse light switch on transmission
4. rebuild quick release valve in tire bay under driver seat (for parking break)
5. try to find the leak i can hear between the back tires

There is an intermittent leak coming from between the back tires - any thought on what it could be?  It is hard to get in there.

leveling valve.  Find someone with pit.  or ditch you can back over long ways or angle over-  dry ;D  move arm on leveling valve with stick sideways a little and see if it stops.. Just a start.  What part of country you in?   Bob

I am in Northern Wisconsin at the moment - headed to Arizona soon.

Leveling valve would probably make sense - I just had the front one replaced last year.
The rear of the bus really leans to the right when it is shutdown.
I was suspicious of the check valves on the right side for the issue with it airing down so quickly (over about 20 - 30 min after shutdown)
But i have never been able to find the check valves.

Can you see the leveling valve from the wheelwell?  I can for the front.

I suppose I had better start digging that ditch.

Not sure what check valve you are looking for.  The leveling valve controls air into and out of the air bellows.  If it is leaking down that quickly the problem is either the leveling valve or something from there out to the bellows. Air line, bellows, air beam ect.

Good luck

lay a mirror on ground in front of dual.  shine light up --you should see leveling valve. some you could see thru access doors.  there is a small hose on bottom that drains excess air out of bag when it is over inflated. Example:: you remove weight and bus rises so the bus needs to lower.  If valve is worn it sometimes leaks air there constantly. Not for sure MCI but the air once it reaches leveling valve should have no path back to bus main air system.=  either to bag or out that small discharge hose. Really don't think MCI would be any different but sometimes my old memory fails.  Bob

Building a couple of ramps could be useful.  Ours are merely a couple of 4 x 8's bolted together.  That gets the bus an extra 7.5 inches off the ground, which makes it safe and relatively easy to move around.  If you can hear the leak, it should be easy to find.  Sometimes it could simply be a loose connection too.
You don't have to believe everything you think.
