Hi folks.  All the talk about cold weather and snow prompted me to post a photo of our bus and the snow at our house (you can click on the photo title to see a larger view).

That photo was taken this past Wednesday (1/24/07) when we finished our extended trip.  It is not an optical illusion.  The plowed piles of snow are well over 4 feet high.  The neighbor had her son-in-law plow twice while we were gone and that allowed me to get into the driveway.   I had to plow for another day to get the bus in the shop.

This trip took us to Bussin' 2007 in Arcadia, FL., Houston for Pat's convention, and Quartzsite for an Eagle Bus Rally.  In total, for this trip, the bus was gone a couple of days short of two months (we flew home for Christmas) and traveled over 6,000 miles.

To date, we have put over 19,000 miles on it since its maiden voyage last March.  During our travels, we have spent over 150 nights in the bus.  It is certainly not fancy, nor complete, but it is fully functional with all of the top-notch equipment (Aqual Hot <expensive but you can't beat it in cold weather>, Wrico Generator, washer and dryer <sure makes Pat happy>, etc.  Maybe some day it will be "fancy" but right now we are really enjoying "functional".

We hit good weather and terrible weather.  We even came through snow in Tucson last Monday.

I was sure glad to get to see all of the buses at the two events.  Of course, it was even better to get to meet all of the great bus folks!!!  Thanks to everyone who went out of their way to introduce themselves since it is always hectic for us at these events where we are vendors.

While waiting for Pat's convention to end, I even squeezed in a visit with Ray Lala (rayshound) and got to see his MCI project in which a Series 60 will be planted (via a 2 foot extension).

Hope to see more of you folks at future events!!!

Glad your home safe Jim & Pat, sounds like you had a nice lengthy trip on your maiden voyage with no serious problems of any kind.  That is a plus to everyone traveling.  Keep the snow there, closest I want to be to it is when I open my non-automatic defrosting refridgerator.

Everyone enjoyed your seminars and seeing you guys again, I know we did and look forward to doing it in the future. Rest up, spring is around the corner and on the road you can go again.
