Thanks for the wishes.  There was also a thread on our Eagle site and this was my reply:

QuoteWow, thanks to all for the kind wishes. I also got a ton of wishes on Facebook and some calls.

At my age (71) I really don't "celebrate" my birthday. Well, kind of - I am always grateful (and surprised) that I made it another year.  :o

Over the past few years, I seem to find strange ways to "celebrate" my birthday. This year was no exception. I was teaching a class in Denver and then supposed to catch a 10:00 pm flight to Salt Lake to meet up with Pat at her convention. Well the plane was three hours late and I got to the room at 3:00 am.  ::) That is two weeks in a row. A week ago Friday I was flying back from Seattle (taught a class at Boeing) and that plane was delayed 4 hours (got home just before 5:00 am). Did I mention that I hate flying?  :o >:(

Pat and I got to have dinner last night with a great bus friend and his wife. We also got to attend a very special Mormon Tabernacle concert. The performance was amazing!

All in all, another great birthday.
