I'm looking to smooth the bus up a bit and wondered if anyone has removed the moulding around their bus that outlines the side panels all the way around?

Any pics of what it looks like underneath the moulding?

Took mine off my 8, the black plastic was in bad shape, pieces missing, screws stripped. I was going to reinstall it but needed tons of work. PO had painted all of it orange.
Painted the entire area, looks ok.   Sorry no pictures at the moment.

Removed to paint, unsrewed it, cleand and painted and screwed back together.  Not a big problem.

I'm thinking of permanantly removing mine and was just wondering what it would look like. I plan on skinning the #3,4,5, and 7 window on each side and didn't know how smooth it is under there. I assume it's just flush riveted?

I removed mine when I did the reframe and new skin. I did not reinstall it because I like the look of the rivets. If I were doing it again,
I think I'd eliminate the rivets, too.

There are photos on my website, somewhere. Look in the Site Map for the structural section.
