I was just completing my service on my webasto 2010 when a flange that holds the eye bolt from the heat exchanger side broke off.My part book shows I need a new blower casing. I called Vehicles Systems in Co. and they want $187.00 for the part.I asked them if it could be welded and they said no.Does any one know if that can be welded or where I could look for the part.

Don, I welded mine!  I had to tear it down to the bare housing. What you got to lose?  It's already broken.

Dick Wright warned me "do not overtighten that nut.  It will snap the tab."  That was the first thing he told me when I installed the unit 11 years ago.  Yuk.  Sorry it had to happen to you.  I'd try welding it, also.  Like it was said, "what have you to lose at this point?"

I did the same thing, broke and paid the price. Dick Wright warned us.

Roger Berke's website has new and used parts listed.  Send him an email if you don't see what you need.  He's likely to have it!  And he's been great to do business with!

Agreed, Roger is good.  I can only get at one side of mine to tighten the nut.  The other hinges on a tight cotter pin. If you can make it a tight fit, I wouldnt worry too much about it.  But it has to be sealed good.
