MCI 7 side window removal

OK the front right side slider got broken when my flag pole snaped in a very hard wind at Lake Powell. This is an original window. I was able to get the broken one out by sort of prying it from the top. My question is how should this come out? Normally on a slider you lift it up and it will come out, not this one. Any ideas on how to get it back in without breaking it?

On my MCI the side windows are on hinges, you pop the emergency latch and the window swings free, then you take out two hinge pins and the window comes right out.  Maybe look for that sort of thing?

What Brian said.  Then I'm pretty sure your going to have to take the frame apart to replace the glass.  I just looked at mine and I doubt that you can replace the glass any other way.  j

Ditto.

Remove entire assembly from the coach by pulling the hinge pins at the top.
A piece of scaffolding of the correct height makes this a lot safer job than ladders.

The frame disassembles to release the individual sliders.

Note that the window probably weighs close to 100 lbs, it's not light, so judge your support carefully.  As BW suggested I built a scaffold of sorts.

There are also commercially available scaffolds/work platforms that are similar in height at your local building supply or Home Depot for under $400.

I don't know many who have fallen off ladders and other rigged up climbing foolishness who don't wish they spent some time/cash before to prevent the permanent injury from falling.
