Tom, make sure you got me down in the 4905.  I hope to have Vickers next to me as well in his 4905.

Tom,

We are planning on being there in our 4905.  Hopefully we'll have at least a "50/50" paint job by then.

Tom, I think this is one situation where discrimination should prevail.  The close in parking should be reserved for "older" buses (maybe pre-'60 or something like that).  For sure I want to be in the back row so that the rally focuses on buses from the past.

Hey Tom:  That looks cool.  Will be there, only 12 hours and 58 minutes from my house - long days drive but doable.

Thanks. Yep, that is the plan. Just found out about another person's interesting coach that will be in Blytheville for the Ghosts of 61 show in April. A 1948 Spartan coach. Maybe one of one that remain roadworthy. Built in Sturdis, MI. (related somehow to the Spartan aircraft and travel trailer people from Tulsa, OK. ......have not done history search yet.) He is headed down with a couple of Flxibles also. Maybe some of you know this fellow. Here is a couple of videos I found of the Spartan:

 Tom,
Planning on bringing the '59 4104 over...The link to the Spartan caught my attention, I have owned several  '47 to 48 Spartan Travel Trailers made in Tulsa from left over aircraft aluminum. Thanks for the link....

Hi Rick

I look forward to meeting you and checking out your coach. I see you can't say no to older GM buses either ! I have four myself. The Blytheville event is really taking shape. It should be very good. The locals are very excited about the event too. I did some work at the old Spartan aircraft/travel trailer factory in Tulsa a few months back. Maintenance guys showed me some cool old photos of former production of planes & trailers. The plant it is currently Cargo Carriers Company (Illinois Tool Works) and they make heavy duty truck chassis. Neat old plant.

Be sure to tell all your friends about Blytheville! Take care.

Tom, I just watched the great video again and noted that the rally is for buses older than 1981.  Since you did not tell me to fly a kite, I assume you will make provisions to "hide" the newer buses in the back forty :D

I really do not want to miss this event.

Fun to see early shots of the PD4501 with the twin radiators in back for the original twin 4-71 engined setup.  Good Luck, TomC
