RV Parks this one takes the prize

We found a park in Scottsdale for our friends coming to visit this winter for a month or so read this bs if you are going to stay for over a month 4 pages so I will hit the high lights

here is the kicker
35 dollars for a criminal  background check and 35 dollars for a credit check non refundable cashiers check only 35.00 each and this place will not take a debit ,credit card or check cash only

Is this normal for RV parks now for extended stays sound like bs to me for 700 dollars a month I'll find him another spot

It sure as H isn't normal for any of the parks we stay in Clifford.  Times must be pretty good down there if they can get away with that crap.  I'd fill in most of those lines with "none of your effing business" and see what they come back with.

I think you should say the name of the place just to avoid everybody else to drive there and waste time and gas.

Only one in Scottsdale why post a name you can stay there same as any RV Park up to week they call it a residency procedure if for a month or more, it cost 55 bucks a night or 300 a week $10 for each pet a day,week or month figure that one

Location is the best around 2 blocks from downtown Old Scottsdale 2 blocks from Fashion Square where you can buy a pair of socks for 10 bucks lol

Give us a break Ed it is not all bad here people still drink beer from a bottle then some drink $50 a glass wine that tastes like crap, they even have a WalMart but it is in Phoenix by a 100 yards at Cactus and Tatum

Anyway, I knew someone who was fulltiming in a trailer for work and he had to move his trailer out before 90 days and then he could come back and re-register.  Something about staying longer than 90 days gave him homeowner rights making it much harder for the park to get rid of him if he decided to quit paying rent.  But this was in Los Angeles-- maybe these people have had some bad experiences.  Not that I am excusing their B.S..

FYI, it is against federal law to require a Social Security number for any product or service EXCEPT a bona-fide tax or Social Security matter. If anyone refuses said service or product AFTER being advised, it's an automatic fine & possible jail time, AND the "victim" gets part of the fine. I have used this myself on people who want to get snotty. I used to carry a copy of the law around in my brief case.

FWIW, in The Lee,Collier,and Charlotte county area of SW Florida they have the same deal for long term..credit and background check, they did credit the fee tho.to your rent if you passed.
Wierd thing tho..my dear wife is dead.according to Equifax, and i have the paper to prove it LOL
were it not for my 91 year old Dad I would not have agreed to the BS.
But you do what you gotta do.

We encountered some of the RV 'Resorts' down in Yuma that had similar rental agreement background checks for their long term stays.  And I do recall once we setup at a RV Park/Mobile Home park in San Francisco for a couple months that had us go through the full rental background check.  It's not all that different than renting an apartment in some respects, actually.

But that said, we'd prefer to avoid such places if we can.

Hey Clifford, i wasn't the one who coined the phrase.  Just heard it used a time or two.    We went to Scottsdale several times while we lived in Strawberry, roamed around the art galleries mostly.
