old bus guys and new bus guys

I mostly read now. The board has helped me build 3 buses.. Clifford has been here longer than I: with far more knowledge. Have seen many come and go. Still we have one thing in common-- we are bus nuts!  To make this bus related I'm building -make that rebuilding a 98 45XLE prevost. Have most parts in hand. I have used this board for guidance. Thanks to all that have helped. By the way I have built 4 --the first was before I knew about BCM or the board. That was a experience.  I guess the whole purpose of this topic is to say I still learn something new from the newest member ever day and share what I have have messed up in the past.   Bob

      Gary, I'm just about at "first finished".  That's when the bathroom and shower work, I have a place to sleep, and a place to cook, wash dishes, and keep food cool -- and it rolls down the road.  "Second finished" will be when there is carpet or mat on the floor, there are window shades, the air conditioning is in, it's painted inside and out, etc.  The "Third Finished" is when I die.  So, there's no 'past tense' here!

       Let's say ("If I'da known it was gonna be 1/10 the expense or 1/20 the work, I'da never been crazy enough to even start on it!  But I'm glad I did.)

To all of you that took on the project of converting your own bus kudos. The cost and the time blows my mind. I got mine fully converted and the cost just to keep it up and running is killing my check book

I don't get this comment.  If the "other guys" have gone through the same thing in time and money, why would they be smirking?  I only smirk when I learn they didn't do the work themselves but act like they did.
