bedroom video update

I am really trying to finish the bedroom this summer, but with having to work for a living it is taking longer than I wanted. Anyway this video shows where I am at at this time.

If you were going to do them by hand-- I have the machine to make the buttons (snap on part). Send fabric and pay shipping and I'll make them for you. by the way the cost for button parts is like 8$ a gross instead of 5 for 4$ in plastic packs. Bob

Mike - Looking good. Keep on posting videos! Awesome inspiration - I am in the process of putting up walls, after that flooring. I love all the wood. Will be nice to see how it looks when its all stained and finished.

Isn't it funny how you can never really complete one part of the project without having to dip into something else. Seems like everything ties together. And always takes 3 times longer than you planned.

Bob, offended? No way! I know the work involved in making 50+ buttons it really is a nice thing to offer a fellow bus nut and I appreciate the gesture.

I know what you mean Sean, I had to locate the shower before I could define the bedroom wall location. Its like a big puzzle and everything ties into everything else. I am about to hit the two year mark and still do not have a usable RV. My wife and I are thinking we may just get the essentials in place and start having some fun with it, if for nothing else than to save us from burn out.

Mike - Get the bathroom finished...once that is usable you can go park the bus anywhere with the wifey. Getting out in the bus...even an overnight at Wal-Mart will get you completely re-motivated to "git'er done"

Some questions for you -
1.Your interior walls - How did you build them? Is it just 3/4" plywood or did you build them out?
2. How did you build the sliding door to the bedroom? What hardware did you use?

Here is my current quicklist -
Walls Outside and Inside
Floor
Bathroom
Replumb
Water Heater
Kitchen
Finish Up Bedroom and Bunks

And at that point we should be able to go start using her. But as you know each one of those things on the list has no less than 5 other things tied to it.

1. On the interior walls I stripped off the original metal covering and removed the original fiberglass insulation. I then repaired any rust I found, which was very little and then installed pink board insulation and filled all the frame members with expanding foam. Once that was done I reinstalled the original metal sheeting. I applied the pine paneling over the original sheet metal, the paneling I made from 2x4's it's tongue and grove with a v grove. I prefinished it in the shop with two cotes of poly on each side to help seal it from any excess moisture that we some times experience in an RV environment. When I installed it I left a little room for contraction and expansion and so far I have not had any buckling.

2. I built the sliding door myself out of pine, basically 2x4 for the frame and pine boards for the panels. I used pocket door hardware from home depot, I still have not settled on the type of latch and handle I want to use.

I like the picture! The work you have done looks real good, thanks, other peoples pictures sure do help keep me motivated.
