I've a chance to snag a couple of XZE2 on wheels, balanced, for $275 each.  I'm thinking super deal?

I am not familiar with the tire you are talking about, but even the cheapest Chinese one costs more than that.
You don't have to believe everything you think.

New, I think that is a screaming deal.  I just paid more than that for tires for my pickup truck.  Regional all position/steer tire, 75 mph.  Not available in 12R-22.5, but presumably in your size...

I meant to do that while I was there.  I will send my kid over to check for me.

Date code is 3609.  Which would be...well, 2009, correct?

I haven't looked at FMVSS in a while (haven't had to -- I retired from that nonsense), but I'm pretty sure that's Aug, 2009.  So, about 3 years old now.  Good to go (if OK otherwise).

Hi Opus, if you don't buy them would you let me know.  Are they budd wheels?  Thanks. John M.

Pardon my ignorance, on a 12R22.5 wheel & tire, is the bolt pattern from an Eagle, Prevost & MCI all the same? Lvmci...

Hey John,

I'm going to get them.  Be silly to pass up such a deal.

Based on the photos showing paint inside the hub, and a really large rust ring around the outside of the lug holes, I think those are Budd rims, stud pilot style.  That's a steal!
