We are planning to be at the December 1, 2012 decommissioning of this Navy vessel, and will be making the trip during the last week of November, 2012 from the Houston area to Norfolk.

Not being too sure if this is the right place to post this, but if anyone knows anyone who wants to be there, especially if they served on the Enterprise, and for whom getting to this event will be a hardship though they still want to go, please let me know.

We are hoping to be able to get former crew there, particularly if they are Disabled Veterans which is what my coach is designed for.

Thank you for letting me share, and if you need to move this .  .  .
For some, patience is a virtue.
Dealing with me, it is required.
Thank God - He is always patient.

What's unfortunate, is since the Enterprise is a nuclear, the only way to rid the ship of nuclear radiation is to take the ship apart to get the reactors out.  Once that is done, the Navy is not going to pay to have the ship put back together again-hence it is going to be scrapped.  Ashamed since it is a historic vessel.  Good Luck, TomC
