There are roof mounted heat pumps, but are there any that use the inverter technology? Any one hear of one?

DC powered A/C's sound good on paper until you look at the price of them-about twice what a normal A/C should cost. Good Luck, TomC

My thought was 120 volt AC units using inverter technology. A roof heat pump using inverter technology would be sweet.

The Aislu RV inverter air conditioner will comes in 300 volt DC, 48 volt DC, and 115 volt AC models according to their website.  DC isn't going to be an option at those voltages for most bus nuts.  The DC models are intended for electric vehicles according to the website.
