Travel insurance when traveling through Canada to Alaska with the bus???

Hello,     Where is travel insurance available for travel in Canada? Is it required and available in the USA? 
    I will call progressive and some others but anyone with any info thanks in advance for the reply.
     In Pittsburg at the moment but  getting ready for the great north west..

      Just had six new tires on the bus Dunlop 384s.   $3500 for 6mounted with equal.special on dunlops this month 471 per tire plus tax and and and..
   Replaced the spare starter ar Murray auto electric, newly rebuilt exchange. 42mt $192 bucks.
     Seems like most things are ready...

Start with your current medical insurance provider?

Get it at home before you leave.

Credit card company, banks, insurance companies, lots and lots of sources.

I have an annual policy with the bank that is written for those who bounce back and forth into the US several times a year. This one allows me 30 days in the US, one at a time, or whatever combination. Maybe $130? or was that for the whole family? Anyway, I'm still under 50 years old. The combinations come in all different amounts and coverages.

At this point my main concern is some sort of accidental medical need.

Unless you have some wierd insurance Company or are a commercial operator, you will need to do nothing other than what is needed in the US. Proof of insurance, registration, drivers license.

Canadians are very aquainted with US people transiting Canada to Alaska.

Simply answer questions clearly. Do not be evasive or talk too much.

The Custons folks see a lot of people every day. They have a method to their questions and just want to do thier jobs. If you enter from some obscure little port that only sees a couple of vehicles a week, they may want to visit.

If anyone in the vehicle has ever had a DUI they may be denied entry. Alaska Troopers stopped sharing a lot of info when they started that back in the 90's!

Joe (AkRoyleeagle) made that trip 2 or 3 times a year he knows the in and outs you can't go wrong listening to his advice are you headed for AK this late in the year winter can come early in some parts of that state
