I know the Willis family ( LeRoy and Anne) where staying in Woodland Park and had to move because of the Waldo Canyon fire. They found a new place to stay a little ways west.Good thing they where in there bus and could just move eveything to a new location. I do not know of anybody else that the fires have uprooted.  Things are very dry in the mountians along with all the beatle kill, it makes for a long and bad fire season. I just heard this morning that 600 homes have been lost in the state due to fires. We shure could use some rain. The problem with rain is it comes with lighting and more fires. Maybe if we get enough rain it will but out the fires.

Thanks Van, We are fine on the front range with all the farming and irrigation. Just have to but up with the smoke. We are praying for all the people in the mountains and on the dry plains. Interesting side note as you know I am an old farm boy and keep an eye on farming. With the dry winter and no snow melt to irrigate the farmers are running out of water for the crops. Irrigation season on a normal year is just starting. This year they have been irrigating for a month and are going to run out of water. Without rain the beets and corn are not going to make it.
