I want to plumb the Sanden AC compressor that's currently mounted on my Series 60 to the original dash evaporator using the original bus air plumbing. Of course the first half up to the condenser compartment is at least 2 times larger than necessary. With this extra volume of 134A hinder the performance?

Thanks,
Ken

On my 89 XL, I replaced the drivers air York compressor with a Sanden SD507 - It works great - I get air at about 47 degrees at the front.  I replaced the dryer and put in a new R134 expansion valve while it was open, as well as replacing the 20 year old hoses that were leaking....  I flushed the lines to get the old oil out and put in PAG oil (the R12 oil is not compatible) - you need extra oil to compensate for the extra length of hose going from front to back.  I think it took about 8 cans of R134 to fill.   Make you a deal - I'll fix your AC if you put a Series 60 in mine  ;D

Steve,
That's sounds like a good deal, but I think I'll pass.
