Really awesome, but it looks more like a transit with the one small window and the window frames not painted black.

That MCI looks like a commercially moulded body to me, so someone presumably is selling them. You can buy ready-made tot rod bodies of all sorts of vehicles - almost exclusively cars of course, but as you would expect there is one sort of 'bus' which is regularly tot-rodded. You can spend thoudands on these things, and they even organise tot-rod drag racing now:
