I need parts for a 4104 starter.  NAPA says they only sell the whole starter, can't get parts such as burshes and bushing.

Any body actually fix stuff any more??  We used to be able to buy alternator, generator, and starter parts at NAPA.

What's the world comming too??

Got Electricity and Water for 4-5 coaches.  Less that a mile to a
dumpstation.  Stop by and sit a spell.

Try a commercial starter/alternator shop.  Unless your armature needs turning or is burned out, overhauling a starter is easy.  Good Luck, TomC

I read this and had a funny kind of epiphany...  Napa sells truck, car and bus parts.  A starter is a bus part.  If you need a part for a starter you have to go to a starter rebuilder who would sell starter parts.  It's just specialization...

Took your advise and changed stores.  Mike (at NAPA) says he can get parts, wants to look at the starter.  I will know tomorrow.

My faith in NAPA has been restored.  You just gotta get the right guy at the right NAPA store.  Mike at NAPA store Washington Rd. Augusta, GA is THE MAN.  It took him 10 minutes to find the parts, and another 20 minutes to get them ordered.  $56.00 be here Monday.
