Trucking Co's

Any of you know of a trucking co in the San Antonio or Austin area that have drop center low boys with at least a 48 ft deck that will haul at a reasonable price a flat deck low bed like a Landoll will not work the load is to high has to be a drop center deck 

I found one outfit in San Antonio but they want 10 grand for a 1000 miles to rich for me

If you are not in a hurry, you might be better off looking for companies at the destination end who could use the backhaul.

sorry to say I went threw this same issue trying to get an RV from Arizona to NC.. and I never found any company that was not threw the roof on cost

uship will be your best bet, I have used that site 100+ times. 98% of the time there have been no issues (shipping motorcycles) but its a leap of faith type of transaction.

STOP AND THINK;;    this guy is charging one buck per mile . with fuel at 5.00 per gal, drivers pay this guy is not making a lot of money. I paid 4.50 from Columbia  s.c. to Asheboro n.c.

Try megatrux.  We use them all the time for freight/tradeshow shipping.  Usually the best price and good service.  Not always the best drivers but you get that anywhere

Not sure if they have the bed you are looking for but they are a good sized trucking company and will go out of the way for us to make things happen.

The $10,000 price seems pretty steep to me.  I was going to have a low boy haul my trailer in Elko, NV in Sept 2010 and I recall it was $150 an hour.  If the total round trip (not including breaks and sleeping) took 40 hours that would only be $6,000.  Fuel back then was a bit cheaper, but not $4 a mile cheaper.  I know you can't use a low boy, but the type of trailer you need should be around the same cost.

I agree with trying Uship. When I had my Setra S215 shipped from ID to TN the guy that did it was from MO. He told me he had a drop deck that stretched that he wished he'd had out in ID instead of the step deck he did use.

It's been several yrs and I've lost his info. But maybe he or someone else with that style trailer will see you add and respond.
By the way he hauled that bus for me for $3000. It was supposed to be 1676 miles direct miles, but he added extra miles by going by his house in south west MO for the weekend.

I do remember his company was "something" hay & and hauling Co. (or something like that)

Thanks guys Cole covered me he sent one of trucks from Houston to haul it to his yard and at a later date will move it on to AZ loved his price 0 dollars but I will pay big when the time comes LOL paybacks are hell among friends

Clifford,  you posted that you needed a 48'   So would that be a 45' bus  46' with bumpers.
