Another 2 hrs and will be done with this major hurdle after fire. Will have the rear brake and prevost leveling system refurbished. The norgen valves have been refurbished along with all new air lines. New brake valves and all. 6 new air bags. new shocks. new bushings on all suspension rods and stablizers. Of coarse new Brakes. Life is good.   Bob

Bob, did you use the plastic piping?   Where are the pictures??

Bob,

It's exciting sitting here watching all the work you (and others) are doing.  I think half of the momentum for me to get our bus (and adventure) on the road is being able to travel out and see all these magnificent and amazing works of art. (and that is truly what they are).

I saw Bob's project with my own two eyes this week. It really is an amazing work in progress. I would definitely be overwhelmed with it and would have been from the word go. He is completely unfazed by it all. It is obvious that the 98XL is not his first big rodeo. I am looking forward to seeing it when he is finished.

Keep up the good work, Bob. Thanks for taking time to visit.

Went back with original dot air lines but didn't use splices. Ran new lines to source. Was a education! Did not run the teflon line all the way to the compressor. After talking to bendix they assured me 6 ft from the compressor was enough. So I hard piped it from the wet tank to the dryer. Plan on leaving access panel under bed to get to norgen leveling valves(auto level)  from the top. Prevost puts them in a hard place to get to unless you have a pit. Last 5 coils for leveling system arrived from prevost today . was surprised only $33 each. They were missing when I got coach. To sit in seat and hit button and level up. life is good ::)   DKO and I had a great visit. He has a great family and coach. One to be proud of!  Bob

That's the truth!  His well-built '89 Prevost now lives outside my shop, getting a few upgrades and changes, and the work that Bob put into it is obvious at first glance.  My first order in the Texas climate is installing a more effective mini-split climate control to replace the ducted basement setup that is in there now, but otherwise the mechanicals seem to be in great order and well thought-out.  I can't wait to see his progress on the newer '98.

Cheers, John
