I'm curious about this too...are these adjustments that can be made with tranny in place? Or is it how it's built?

Keep a log of the shift points and ruff shift spots doesn't take money when you are doing the filter and oil change anyway your has probably never had the filter changed at the valve body.
It's no major deal I adjusted on mine every oil change (25,000 miles ) download a manual and do it yourself and then you understand the workings of a 700 series
