I have no dogs in this hunt but someone who is looking for a used Webasto might be interested.

I thought I would look at the ratings of that unit vs the Webasto in the Aqua-Hot.  My model AHE-100-02S (full size Aqua-Hot) uses a DBW2010 which is rated for 45K BTU/hour.  It is rated at 0.4 gal/hour max fuel consumption.

The Ebay unit is a DBW300 which is rated at 104K Btu/h and 1.05 gal/hour max.

That is a huge capacity unit!!!

Why do they say that it is intended for a Detroit Diesel application?

Depends what you are going to do with it?

Mine is a DBW300, and it can substitute for the engine in keeping the interior warm, using the stock HVAC system, including pulling in fresh air, in sub-zero temperatures.

My coach was formerly a mobile classroom, so it was rigged to stay warm and cold in the Canadian environment.

Plugged in to shore power, or by way of onboard generator, the air circulation was rigged to run with the engine off.

Webasto was plumbed inline with the heat exchanger, regular coach temp controls kept everything under control.

In busnut use, one of this size is good for quick pre-heats, but will short-cycle if put to more mundane interior heating uses in more temperate environments.

It would make short work of heating someone's portable hot tub...

happy coaching!

That unit is too large because it will short cycle.   A 45,000 Btu unit has proven to be sufficient.   Also, I did not see the electronic module in the Ebay add.
