Well it appears it is time for this story.

The Diary of a Snow Shoveler

December 8 - 6:00 PM. It started to snow. The first snow of the season and the wife and I took our cocktails and sat for hours by the window watching the huge soft flakes drift down from heaven. It looked like a Grandma Moses Print. So romantic we felt like newlyweds again. I love snow!

December 9 - We woke to a beautiful blanket of crystal white snow covering every inch of the landscape. What a fantastic sight! Can there be a more lovely place in the Whole World? Moving here was the best idea I've ever had. Shoveled for the first time in years and felt like a boy again. I did both our driveway and the sidewalks. This afternoon the snowplow came along and covered up the sidewalks and closed in the driveway, so I got to shovel again. What a perfect life.

etc etc

I don't have time to look for it now, but an Aussie friend of mine sent me a very similar thing to this but the other way around - it's a made-up diary piece supposedly written by a British guy after emigrating to Australia - at first he loves the blazing sunshine and high temperatures, but soon hates them with a passion (the plumber mending the burst pipes are replaced by the man repairing the air conditioning etc). And, according to my friend "It's all true."

A shameless plug for my business - visit www.magazineexchange.co.uk for back issue magazines - thousands of titles covering cars, motorbikes, aircraft, railways, boats, modelling etc. You'll find lots of interest, although not much covering American buses sadly.

I wish I was down where I had to think twice about the sun and heat.
This pic was taken yesterday and the following was taken a week ago.

This is not a pic of my bus, but mine is almost as bad. It's probably going to be two more months before I can get mine out.

BK, It does make good insulation. Keeps the floor in the house really warm too. With snow up to the middle of the windows this year, we have had nice warm floors.

Len, You are killing me. I could sure use some of that white stuff this year. The only problem is... it would cost me 10k to drive the bus down there and back, and my wife keeps giving all our airline miles to her family.
