Busnts in Idaho?

OK I have to know. I can't be the only Busnut in ID. Where are you? With the Harley I would meet all kinds of people riding around. I've been driving the bus around no one has even come up

I live in Alaska but I have a second house in Idaho. My bus and I spend a lot of time down there, as a matter of fact, I will be down there with the bus late this summer. My place is in Nampa, maybe 10 min from you.

Bill if you go to the new BCM web site. Photos page 3 you can see a pic of the outside and a pic of the bedroom.

If you snow birds come through let me know. Would like to someday put some faces to the names and get to see more buses. Trying to get enough money saved up for tires to go to Bus n USA. Tires in good shape but are ten years old. don't wont to push it. We went last year didn't have a bus then. It's what convinced us a bus was what we wonted. If we could get off work we would go to the GM rally in UT. But it's not looking good. Would love to go to Montana. but its got to worm up before we head that way

We spend most of June in Wilderness Gateway Campground near Lowell, ID along the Lochsa River.

They are all in AZ this time of the year this place is overrun with with 1A,2B and 2C plates on converted buses every farmer in the Caldwell/Nampa/Fruitland area has a converted bus in his barn lol

I can vouge for that. I even believe there is another MC-6 like mine in Rexburg. I have been wanting to get over to look at it. There is also quit a few up in Sand Point.

We are going to be moving down there in about a year and a half. I need longer summers the older I get

Must be nice to take the winter off, although I know farming is hard work. I'm 50 years young so only 17 years to retirement LOL. Than I'll be able to follow the migration south for the winter. Tg looks like a nice 4106 by the small pic. What year? Have you had it long? Seayfam the winters are long enough in ID. for me can't even thank of what it would be like up north

I was born here in Southern Idaho (Gooding) and have a lot of relatives living in the area - so after retirement it seemed the place to go, and it was. Anchorage was a geat place to live and raise a family only as long as you could afford to live there comfortably, meaning for most people including myself, that it becomes otherwise when you retire.

We have good weather here most of the time, with distinct seasons including cold short winters and long hot summers. Twin Falls boasts 324 days of sunshine annually and I believe it to be true.

But in my case (now 77) age and health seem to trump most of all other governing factors. I wanted a nicer and warmer place with more than one or two roads heading out of town, and this is where I found it. 6 acres, a nice 2 BR house and a 30 by 60 shop to play in. 220 and 50 amp outlets, big air compressor, sewer dump inside - all that stuff. But Type 2 diabetes among other problems have seriously restricted my ambitions and activities, so it may be time to change course. I'm exploring a lot of options, but I'll definitely stay in the Twin Falls area.

The 06 is a 1963 nr 1888 that I bought seated in 1983 from a pipeline contractor in Anchorage, and converted myself over a number of years. I love this rig and have sunk a fortune into it - but its doubtful I'll ever be able to reap an equivalent reward! That wee picture was taken in 2006 in the rest area at Turnagain Pass.

Hello AKBUSGUY2000.

I'm not to far South of you down here in Cedar City UT. I had the pleasure of going through Twin Falls a couple of times last summer while heading for the yellowstone/ Cody area. It is truly is a picturesque place.

I'm the proud owner of Pd 4106 1885.It's not very ofter you find Serial numbers that close together in a unit the age of ours.

I'll stay in touch if we head back up to your part of the country this year.

yes, we may even have sister coaches. Mine was delivered new to Reno Tonopah Las Vegas Stage Lines. In the early seventies it was sold to ARA transportation and went to Anchorage to work under contract for the Fluor corporation hauling pump station workers and their gear between Anchorage and Valdez. They beat it to death, but it's been pretty much overhauled. In the last couple of years it has been back to visit its original Nevada home territory - and seemed happy to be back.

I lived in Utah for 2 years -I think the 3rd & 4th grade. Dad worked in a coal mine for a while. But that piece of Utah no longer exists - google "Hiawatha, Utah".
