Question about my MCI-8 Window latch removal

Curious what some of you did after removing the latches. I am thinking a good sealer is going to be the hot set up but screws might be the hot ticket also. All of the latches have the phillips screw on the lower portion of the bracket that are easy enough to remove but the upper screws obviously are installed blind from the other direction. Any trick to removing these short of the grinder? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Sorry the pic is blurry :-\

  PUSH window out carefull, carefull, block window open--lift up or roll rubber gasket and remove philips screws, they may need some force to remove...
   After the latches were removed I installed a 1x4 full length under windows. Then inserted a 3x4in.wide x 4in. long metal strip from just above the window clip and screwed the long portion to the lumber. the metal bends and holds the window closed. Knowing I would eventually pry/pop the windows uot to cover them later.

  On the fronts and rears I plan to retain the latches so I can still open the windows. On the center ones I plan to remove the latches and screw the windows down from the outside using countersunk Phillips screws, likely a riv nut on the inside to thread it into or possibly weld a nut. That way if I need to open the window for any reason, replace a glass panel for example, I can do so from the outside.

  I used a hammer type impact with a screw driver bit to break the screws loose, like you use on motorcycles.

on mine all the screws were installed from the inside. I opened the windows, cleaned the frames and seals, laid down a generous bead of 25 year silicon adhesive, closed and latched the windows. I then screwed the windows shut, then removed the latches. By screwing them shut with the latches still in place, they had a good tight seal all the way around the window.
Some are called, some are sent, some just got up and went.
