niehoff voltage regulator

I should have bought it when I saw it. Back in April there was an "A2-132" Niehoff voltage regulator on Ebay for $24.99.

I didn't buy it and haven't seen one since. However there is an "A2-122" regulator that has been on there since April.

The only difference I can see is the wiring plug. If I could use my old plug and tap the wires on this one do you think it would work? Anyone familiar with these old Niehoff parts?
