A short while ago I saw a video about a custom car builder that built a custom bus with a steering compartment on the roof. I was a blue bus and I think it was named "Deco Dream"

Did I see it here, or somewhere else. I would sure like to see that video again.

Not sure where you saw the video but this is the website of (what I'm sure must be) the vehicle you're referring to:

http://www.blastolene.com/Work_in_Progress/deco.htm

It's called the Deco-liner rather than Deco-dream and actually isn't based on a bus - it's a motorhome chassis with a custom body behind a truck cab

A shameless plug for my business - visit www.magazineexchange.co.uk for back issue magazines - thousands of titles covering cars, motorbikes, aircraft, railways, boats, modelling etc. You'll find lots of interest, although not much covering American buses sadly.

WOW!!!  I had seen the side view picture in the past, but had not gone to the site.  What a work of art and craftsmanship!!!

I have tied to figure out what he is using for the side/roof ribs.  Looks like an aluminum castings (halves joined with welded "beams" in the middle.

My mind just goes into overload when I see folks with this kind of talent.

Jay Leno posted a video on his website and they drove it around some.  This has been posted here before.  Pretty fun vehicle.

The "RIBS" are not castings,, they are formed ribs as done in the aviation world.>>>Dan
