To better help answer your questions/post please put your general location in your profile and your bus type.  If you don't have bus just put wantabe  or all.  General location helps answer ? More specific to your area of country ---also a member might be next door.  I will admit I don't respond when someone has no information in their profile.  Looks like someone trying to take advantage without sharing even basic info.       Bob        or travlin USA

Hi Bob,

We have tried many times over the years to get more members to list their location and coach info. Some do with posts such

as these. So, it does help to repost this every once in a while... Some, may not know how to do so.  There are settings to

enable members to edit, make changes, and add info in their profile section.

Thanks for bumping back to top.  I have found guys close to home this way. I share parts and labor. Sometimes you need a break from your own projects.   Bob.

It would be really cool to see some kind of list.

Maybe some wouldn't be comfortable with this, but I  would gladly put my name on the list.

I only know just a couple bus nuts in the whole state of Michigan.  I'd be willing to bet there is more, but not without some kind of listing.

Josh's signature is a great example.  It also adds a proper name to a screen name, so we can respond like civilized folks.

I've always found it hard to start a response "Bigbus, this is my experience", rather than "Mike, this is...."   We have a woman at church whose email is "antiquemom"  -- which always gives me pause, especially since she's younger than I am.  I've also seen screen names that include a proper name, while the individual has a different name entirely.  Confuses the heck out of me, not that it's difficult to do so.

Bob, thanks for bringing this up as a reminder.

Here is a suggestion for keeping in touch with friends on the road -

Google Latitude (there is other similar software as well)

I work in the line of business where there is a lot of traveling and others that I work with use this same software - As long as you are logged in you can allow others to see where you are at any point in time.

As with any software (Similar to issues with keeping lists of member locations) it only works as well as the amount of time and effort you put into using it.

I have it on my phone and when I am traveling to do shows I can see where my co-workers are - ie - snowed in up in Chicago - Layover at the same airport I am at or already in town and I can grab a quick meal with them.

We use our phones to track and when traveling I just keep my account logged in. If you have a laptop on your bus with GPS or Cell service that might be an ideal way to let others know where you are.

If anybody needs help in the northern panhandle of West Virginia or East Ohio, I have a nice spot 1/2 mile of Interstate 70.  Exit 213 in Ohio.  I'll put the coffee on...

With search engines the way they are now, there will be some that need to keep their personal lives out of the hands of the malicious people with whom they interact more closely.

If you can't fathom what this means, say a prayer to your God thanking Him/Her for what you don't know.

I'll be human on the internet in my retirement, and I thank my friends and fans for maintaining my alias until then.

So for now, I'm..

happy coaching!

Looks like we've had some new members join, perhaps time for a bump on this topic?
