Imagine piloting that thing through a KOA! How about if you could drop the back half at your campsite and go grocery shopping with the front half.

Can you imagine doing engine work or even routine maintenance on that thing?

If you want to see one in person, there was one parked in Toronto on Beverly Hills Drive in a fenced yard not so long ago.

Haven't been by recently to see if it is still there.

happy coaching!

Actually doing simple maintenance was much easier then a normal rear engined coach.  The sides and radiators hinge outward and you can practically walk up to the engine and transmission.  Getting the engine/transmission out is another story since there is a couple of support beams you have to cut out, then reweld in when the engine is back in again.  In certain states, this is considered a motorhome pulling a trailer since the engine is in the front section.  So perhaps 60ft wouldn't be so bad.  Still, so few were made, especially the coupling for the "trailer" is a one of a kind type.  Too bad they just didn't use a simple 5th wheel setup like is used on a tiller fire truck.  Good Luck, TomC

And some states they are ILLEGAL in as they are a CLASS A bus or over length!

Also heard many Detroit Diesel mechanics used to call in sick when they new one was scheduled to come in.

And also that the mega dollar hitch system is usually worn out beyond rebuilding feasibly and made of unobtainium!
