Hey guys ,if a 671 fuel pump mount is not sealing, would  it cause air in the fuel system?            Steve 5B...

No.  It will cause an oil leak, though.

Would have to be a leaking fitting on the fuel supply line to allow air into the system.  Jack

Where and what is it leaking?  And yes, you can get air in the fuel through the fuel pump shaft seal.

I did notice there is an opening on the bottom of the pump less 1 red cap.Maybe that is where the problem might be.

Don't plug the hole-- it is a weep hole so if the outer seal goes bad the fuel doesn't go past the inner seal and into the engine oil.  If the pump is leaking you need to replace it.
