RE,, Southeast cruisers sep-oct rally

Got there thurs night at about 8pm after having called and made reservations ,,when we got there,,we were met at ther front gate ,,by the 16yr old "security guard" took one look at our bus and said WHAT DO YOU WANT ,,told him that we had called ahead and made rerservatons,and that we were there for the bus rally,,,then he said NO SCHOOL BUS CONVERSTIONS ALLOWED,,they are a FIRE HAZARD and are UNSAFE..since by then we were too tired to drive any more..he let us in ,,and told us that we would be told to leave in the morning ,,which we did ,,So if you have a school bus conversion or any kind of bus conversion,,be advised ,,,you are not welcome at WILDERNESS RV PARK EASTATES ,,10313 NE 103nd av ,silver springs ,fl,,after 2 days travel from AL and almost 400 dollars in fuel ...thanks to all for a very long lasting lesson,,pete ..polly

Sorry to hear you had a problem. I am always concerned now about the same thing happening when we arrive. So far no problems but you obviously know it happens. Good luck on your next trip.

sounds more like they just have a thing against schoolies....I don't see how a schoolie is any more a fire hazard than any other converted bus...

Wow! we winter there every year (past 5) . never been treated like that. Was sold at action Sept 21st. need to ck in on new owner. Was never teenager involved in operations before. Thanks for info. No excuse for rude. Other places to stay and take my $. Bob

Was this where the rally was being held? If so you would think they, the members, would have had a little pull, but, maybe not!

Since this is one of my favorite places. I got on the phone. Lets just say two sides to every story. Was told everything was done to quiet situation and encourage them to stay. Sounds like a bad situation. Not a place to bring a big box trailer unless it goes to the storage lot for the sites are not large enough for parking them.Have met several busnuts there with 4104 to newer prevost.. Mci 8 a little of everything. Will come to their defense this time. We even have a busnut/lot owner in the campground. The same management team is in control for the past 5 yrs and present. Bob

All the yah yah won't change the fact that we were told that skoolies are not welcome,,as for the big box trailer, which we told them that we had before ever arriving ,,,,we had our golf cart in it ,because we are both handicapped.and can't do alot of walking ,,I forgot to mention in my earlier post that all the people that were associated with the rally were super nice and supportive of our situation.we were upset to the point of having to leave
