2011 Non Rally at Palmetto Cove October 7th - 9th

The October (7th - 9th) 2011 Non-Rally in the mountains of South Carolina at Palmetto Cove.
Will be the same format as the last 4, eat & greet.

I have reserved space at the park from October 2nd thru October 9th.

I'm planning on being there Thursday afternoon, but early arrivals are welcome.

No reservations required (that's a good thing since The Cove doesn't take them!)
$22(I think?) per night full hookups. (30Amp, water & sewer)
You must be fully self contained (shower, toilet, & kitchen) per state health department rules since there are no bath houses there.

There is no rally fee. There will be a donation pot for those who wish to help offset the cost of the meals.

The Non-Schedule:

Friday night – spaghetti (will be kept warm for the late arrivals)

For Saturday:
Breakfast – Grits, eggs, biscuits, sausage, & gravy.
Lunch – Burgers grilled under the shelter. (bring your own?)
(The Cove is having its annual meeting with a catered lunch for members, so I'll be there for lunch.)

Night - I'll bring the pulled BBQ & we can have a "pot luck" meal.

For Sunday:
Breakfast – Left overs
Lunch – Left overs

Those with musical talents are encouraged to share.

Kyle we are planing to be there! We will try to be there Fri. afternoon if all go as planed. I will bring some musical equipment ,Pa,mikes, etc. if we need it ,just let me know. If Gary and Jr is going to be there and they are willing we may play a little while if that is ok. Patsy & Glen Rice

Glen,
You just made up my mind, We'll be there because of you. Only kidding, was planning on this anyhow but glad you will be there and we will do as usual when we can. This time I am not the host and can mingle and play our music. Hope Jr and his great band can also make it, Dam this year sure went by fast!! Seems like just a couple of weeks ago we were doing the SEBN rally in April.

Hopefully Marc Woodward Will be coming also (Elvis) and maybe we can get a few tunes from him without all his stage set up that is, just want everyone to relax like Kyles wants for us to do.

See you guys then, gonna see Jack & Paula, hopefully Ed & Ann and our special Uncle Ned and Miss Dolly too!!!

Dee and I are indeed going to try to make it. We really enjoyed ourselves the last time we were there, even though scheduling only allowed us a single day at the rally. We look forward to seeing everybody and I'll bring a jumpsuit-just in case.

Gary good to hear from you! Gary you are correct about the days flying by. If Jr. is going to be there and we can get him, ( and other folks too) to play with us, we may have a full band! Lately I Have been so busy I am ready to kickback, play a little music and enjoy the friendship of some the best people in the world! How about it Jr, are you going to be able to make it? Paula & I plan to arrive on Tuesday 10/4. Hope to stop by the United States National WhiteWater Center for 1 final go at their channels on the way to Palmetto Cove.
Kyle, can you order a little rain for Monday-Tuesday? Just enough to play in the rapid behind the Cove. Jack

It would if I was going to arrive tomorrow. Unfortunately, that water will be long gone by the time we arrive. But, I will keep my fingers crossed LOL. Leaving early tomorrow AM to go to Bryson City area for a "Whitewater Weekend". French Broad (Section 9) tomorrow, Nantahala on Saturday, and

on Sunday. Then to Russell Fork on KY/VA border the next weekend for the 1st release of the year. Jack
