Arizona sites to see ??

We are planning on going to Arizona for the month of January. We usually go to Florida to get warm but want a change this year. We went out 12 years ago and visited Tombstone, Tucson, Yuma, Quartsite, etc.
1. What are other interesting places to see and visit.
2. Are the casinos free parking? How does that work?

What do you like Scottsdale is fun place plenty to see and do in that area not much goes on the places you have posted unless you into junk and sex stones.
If you are into winter gigs like skiing or the Grand Canyon that happens 100 miles from Scottsdale,cars are a big deal in Jan at BJ or the Penseke museum then you get the horse show where they sell 10 million + horses that I don't care for,the casinos let you park free but you need their little players card which is also free.
You have Cave Creek and the Boulders in that area if you want lake camping it is just off I 17  a little west you have the old town of  Wickenburg the Flex bus people have a rally there in Jan about the same time the Eagles and GM have theirs in Quartzsite and if you are in to golfing there is a course on every corner along with tennis courts fun place the Scottsdale and Phoenix area plenty to enjoy and is GREEN real live grass and trees

While we won't be in the bus, our upcoming honeymoon will include visits to Sedona, Flagstaff, and Meteor Crater.  I hear that Bisbee, AZ is very cool too.

Oct will work beautiful time of the year in AZ nice cool morning and evenings and warm sun shinny days most of the time, you can get a little rain sometimes not much enjoy AZ

I can think of plenty of places to go, and things to do. Some preferences or interests would be helpful.

Spent the winter of 2000 in Tuscon, loved it!!  I joined the Southern Arizona hiking club and saw much of the desert and mountains on foot. I also went out with a prospecting club that is in the area.  Did some metal detecting also.

They even had a Harbor Freight and $3 haircuts at a barber school on Rogers Rd?

I hope it's OK to revive an old topic . . .  We had a fantastic time honeymooning in Sedona and surrounding areas. We fell in love with Northern Arizona, and last weekend I went back there to look at acreage, primarily in the Ash Fork area. Our intent had been to continue to outfit one of our buses for boondocking and parking it there.  However, even on ones own property, it seems one must have a $50 permit that is good for a maximum of 100 continuous days of RV parking, unless a "proper" residence is on the property. I suppose AZ doesn't want a lot of riff-raff dotting the countryside, living in RVs. What do y'all know about it?  Am I interpreting this correctly, and might one get away with more, given enough acreage and trees?

Paul, how about having half your land in your own name and half in your wife's name, then move the bus from one half to the other every 3 months?   Or simply drive it somewhere for a day every three months.   Or build a permanent shed or barn over the bus, which will also keep it cooler in the summer  -  I saw that someone near Twenty Nine Palms had done that with an RV.   How do they define a "proper" residence?   Would a Tiny House suffice?   I'm sure there's a way.

I agree that NoAZ is beautiful.   If it weren't for the cold winters I could be very tempted to live there.

Forget AshFork go a little south to Prescott or Prescott Valley between I40 and I17 a real neat town even has grocery stores that 50 dollar permit is supposed to be a 1 time fee for mobile homes same where I live
