On my white bus, I have a panel box that is hooked up with a 30 amp lead to plug in to park, shore or generator. My generators put out 50 amp, I have two roof airs, and need to use the 50 amp. I have studied the wiring diagrams available and cannot get my head around the separation of ground and neutral. I believe that the bus was originally wired for 50 amp as there was a 50 female to 30male dogbone in storage box.
If you can help but cannot explain on board, please PM or call.

the only way to be really sure what your bus was wired as originally is to open up the panel. A 50 amp service panel will have two hots, one neutral and one ground. (essentially making it a 240 volt service) It is possible that the bus was wired using a 50 amp 240 volt panel, and that the two hot legs are connected together utilizing one hot leg input for a 120 volt 30 amp service chord. Open up your panel and see what you have. If you're not sure what your looking at then post up some pictures and we can help you determine what you have and what you can do with it.
Some are called, some are sent, some just got up and went.
