Dear friends,

We finally got our compressor in, replaced with a rebuilt one (with warranty).

The mechanic also added a drier, which the bus did not have previously. I am assuming that means I don't have to open my tanks and let them air out at the end of each day?

You still should pop the valve on the wet tank, which is the first tank in line after the dryer, just to see what comes out.  If everything is working right you don't need to, but of course is when things don't work right that you needed to...  It all looks great, btw, congratulations.   Good job well done.

It is your money Steve but I would chunk that oil foam air filter on a new compressor that compressor will last maybe 2 years with it,
I am not trying to be a smart @$# just trying to save you money down the road you could tell by looking at the old one it did not work

good luck

If you don't have them, get the pull cables for all of your tanks. Only takes a few seconds to drain them all each time you run the bus and can save you some problems down the road. ;D

Sorry: I don't understand, Mr. Luvrbus.  Are you referring to the large round filter on the drier, or the small square one on the compressor itself?

Instead of the foam filter. most take the air intake from the clean side of the engine air filter system via about a 1 inch hose to the air compressor.
