My beloved wife picked out new furniture for our bus.
When asked what color and style I told her I didn't mind, as long as it was leather[ we have a 3yo and a dog]. My question is what type of mounting do we use? We got a
new driversseat and two low back chairs. I would like the two low backs to swivel[yes,I know buy a swivel pedestal] but at what height is "normal?" Is mounting as easy as picking a spot and bolting it down? we are also installing a new wood floor. Thanks for the help. Steve

Steve,

You don't have to bolt them to the floor unless they will be occupied while driving.  You absolutely do need to tether them though.

Just to add, if they are going to be occupied while driving they should be in some way attached to something structural other than just the floor. In the event of an accident, the added force of the extra weight of the passenger could help it to become a projectile if not securely fastened to something solid.
